PARTNERS
We work hand in glove with a number of partners to broaden our reach and ensure ongoing community support.
Courts
Many abused children have to undergo court case procedures, and usually,
the complainant is either a minor or has never been exposed to
the judicial system.
Police
The police department helps medics by running a thorough investigation
on every case of abuse that we report. One cannot open a court case
without a file from the police.
Schools
Abuse does not only take place in the home environment, but can take place anywhere,
like at school. We work very closely with schools by helping the abuser and the person
being abused. We address the different types of abuse that take place at schools like:
learner on learner, drug abuse and neglect. We also train and run workshops with schools.
Medical
One of the large contributing factors of an abuse case is a medical report.
Various Hospitals and Public Clinics help us by doing medical examinations
on sexually abused children. The exams assist in strengthening our cases
against perpetrators
Child Welfare
During cases of abuse within a family, child welfare helps us by removing
children under the age of 12 who are at risk of being harmed by family members.
They also investigate the situation of a family and look out for the child's
best interests.
Social Development
During cases of abuse within a family, the department of social development
also helps us by removing children under the age of 12 who are at risk of
being harmed by family members.
